CONTACT & FAQ

Hi, I’m Fiona! Thank you for staying connected with Adulting Made Easy!  Before you send me an email, be sure to check out Frequently Asked Questions (below the contact form).

    FAQ:

Is there a discount for purchasing multiple licenses of a resource (if more than one educator is using the resource)?

    • Yes there is!  Please email me at fiona@spedadulting.com with your the exact title of the product(s) you are referring to (or links to the product pages) and how many you plan to purchase so that I can curate a special discount for you!

When I print a resource there are black boxes.

    •  This may be occurring if you do not have a fully updated version of Adobe Reader, or not printing the file ‘as an image’.  You can check for updates by opening Adobe, clicking ‘Help’ and from the dropdown menu selecting ‘Check for Updates’. If there are available updates, Adobe will prompt them to be installed. You can also  download the latest version of  Adobe Acrobat Reader for free at this link: http://get.adobe.com/reader
    • Also, see this FAQ article: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Help/General-Technical-FAQ/What-if-my-file-isn-t-printing-correctly

How do I access my purchases?

    • You should have received an email with the download link(s).  If you did not – be sure to check your spam folder.
    • You can also access your purchase to download by going to spedadulting.com, in the top right corner click on “view my account”, then click “Downloads”.

How do I make a Purchase Order? (For districts/admin)

    • At checkout you will be given an option to select purchase order at which point you will receive an invoice after you check out. Once you receive that invoice, forward it to me so then I can release the resources.

I am having issues downloading/opening/viewing the ZIP file or PDF.

    • Please make sure you have downloaded the Zip file to your desktop. You will need to unzip/extract the file first before accessing the PDFs within the Zip folder.
    • Also, make sure you are opening the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (and not on your phone, an internet browser, or the Preview app). If you are unable to open the PDF or are receiving an error message or asking for a password, it is likely that your Adobe PDF reader needs to be updated with the latest version (even if you’ve been able to open other PDF files).
    • If you are using a district computer/device, check with your tech team if outside downloads are allowed – if so – you might have to download at home then send the activity to your school computer.
    • If you are using an older device or your Windows is not the latest version, you might have to rename your download file to something simpler.  Try renaming the file to a shorter name, without symbols or numbers.

What is the difference between the digital activity options?

    • Interactive PDF: (Adobe Acrobat PDF reader works best on computer desktop, or the “Books” app on iPad), put the PDF in “full screen” or “presentation” mode, then click on the arrows to begin. The PDF can be sent to student emails, placed on computer or tablet desktop, or assigned on Google Classroom or similar platforms.
    • Boom Cards: When you open the Boom Cards PDF (file title might contain the letters BC), you will be given a link to redeem the Boom Cards deck to your Boom Learning account. Directions on how to set up your free account are provided in the PDF. There are a variety of ways to share or assign decks to students, if you are un sure – there are tons of tutorials on You Tube.
    • Google Forms: When you open the Google Forms PDF, click the link to make a copy of the Google Forms to your Google Drive. From there, you can edit, rearrange, and assign the forms to student emails or Google Classroom…etc. If you are unsure how to do this, there are tons of tutorial videos on YouTube.

I accidentally purchased the wrong resource.

    • First, please refer to our Refund Policy.
    • If your purchase was made on spedadulting.com and if you think you qualify for a refund, please email me at fiona@spedadulting.com with your order number and the exact title of the product(s) you are referring.

I need information on the cyber safety/security of the file I am downloading.

    • The resource files you purchase are stored on and downloaded from AWS (Amazon Web Services). AWS’ core infrastructure is built to satisfy the security requirements for the military, global banks, and other high-sensitivity organizations. This is backed by a deep set of cloud security tools, with over 300 security, compliance, and governance services and features. AWS supports 98 security standards and compliance certifications, and all 117 AWS services that store customer data offer the ability to encrypt that data.  If you would like additional information, you can check out their website at aws.amazon.com

    Product Reviews

    from special educators

    Theresa S.

This resource has been extremely beneficial. I teach students with moderate to severe disabilities who are on a certificate of completion for high school. This resource was helpful in establishing a routine for my students. Students remained engaged and enjoyed many of the activities. The consistency of the warm-ups allow for me to introduce students to working together appropriately and seeking help and support from peers not just teachers. The differentiated levels help save time and support students varying levels. Students remain engaged and it quickly hits on different life skills reviews.
Life Skills Daily Warm Up Worksheets BUNDLE

    Christine S.

I love everything about this resource. There are enough activities to last a year. The lectures and digital activities are my favorite with the real photographs. My students are learning and there seems to be enless materials in this bundle. I also love the creative CBI (community based instruction) ideas that go beyond the typical scavenger hunt.
Vocation Units 1-12 Full Year MEGA Bundle + Supplemental Materials

    Kaitlyn Dini (TpT Seller)

Adulting Made Easy makes the absolute perfect resources for my Life Skills students who are about to graduate. Her resources teach practical skills that they will use in their lives and they don't view as being too immature for them (which is common in sped). Thank you so much for creating these resources!

As a teacher new to the role in vocational education, Adulting Made Easy's vocational products work great! It was an easy way for my students to understand various aspects of job searches and employment.   The vocational units saved me a ton of time by not having to create items on my own.

This was awesome to use with both my at-home learners and my in-person learners. I could use specific ones with our weekly theme during my vocational skills class. It was especially great at keeping my at-home kids engaged when I wasn't there to watch them.

    Teaching Tiny Bugs (TpT Seller)

My students love using this resource for their morning work. I have many non writing students, so being able to engage in a lesson with them using drag and drop and visual icons is the reason this have become one of my favorite resources this year.
