The weeks leading up to summer break can be long and drag out. If your students are graduating, they might experience “senoritis” or anxiety about the big change in their routine. To help you finish the year with a bang, I’ve compiled a handful of end-of-year resources. Each of these resources can be found here on my website shop, or on Teachers Pay Teachers.
SOCIAL STORIES FOR SUCCESS
Don’t wait until last minute, start prepping for your students’ graduation earlier in the school year! This is a simple story with the visuals and language you need to talk to students about an emotional event in their lives: GRADUATION! Graduating is a big event that leads to a huge change. The uncertainty of what happens during or after graduation can create anxiety and behaviors.
Help ease the uncertainty and prepare your students with direct social skills instruction that is beneficial to students with special needs. This book can be used before the event or read regularly in preparation of the big day.
